As a schoolboy Antony Golding spent some of those long summer holidays dangling his feet over the rooftop of the 13 storey flats where he lived watching the world go by.

This developed a good head for heights which became very useful later on in the more exciting aspects of window cleaning. In fact part of the draw towards this career was the opportunity to show off precarious access skills and make many an onlooker gasp at what seemed very dangerous manoeuvring up and down ladders and the side of buildings to clean windows. All sorts of equipment was used other than ladders. Bosons chairs were probably the worst, as getting in them was very precarious, but standing on top of a ladder cleaning a forth storey window took some beating.

Today, of course, Health & Safety is paramount and these sorts of practices have long gone and disappeared.

Quite rightly so with all of the access equipment now available and the latest water-fed pole systems that Goldstar has invested heavily into. In fact most of our fleet is equipped with water tanks and poles to reassure our clients that our 100% safety record will remain so. We even distil and manufacture our own purified water in our warehouse and have found a way to polish the water to virtually 100% purity. This means the glass will clean to a bright sheen when regularly cleaned with our water.As an added bonus UPVC frames are cleaned at no extra cost.

We also have our own small cherry picker that has proved very useful and economic to use but should the need arise we can hire in up to 150ft units to reach those high awkward places. We have a team of fully qualified cradle operators for those buildings where this is preferable.

In fact we can, with our experience and knowledge, access and clean virtually any glazing we are asked to quote for.
